home- being out of town for a while, looking after a young five month
old darling granddaughter. She has blue eyes, chestnut hair and as Irish
looking as you could get. Her twinkling humour also stands her well. I cannot
yet get her to laugh- we're close to it- yet she smiles with great patience at
her 'Amma' trying to have fun with her.
We spent time out doors skirting the snow, on edges of the field, where a
small brook makes its way into a pond. We didn't get as far as the beehives
but one of the two is still living, thanks goodness, having survived this dreadfully
cold winter. The other one, as my son and I inspected it sans bebe, may perhaps
have a few survivors. I am hoping against hope.
I am looking forward to being away a few days each week with this grandchild at
her home. I cannot stand the thought of putting such ones in day care so thus,
I am with her. The other days of the week, her other grandmother, 'Mimi' watches
her and by the sounds of it also enjoys her tremendously, What a great early entering
of the world for a little one.
10.30am- walk outside to help my asthma - ouch- it is wretched to have this getting
worse at my age with a racing heart. I have to overcome this. Walk and walk! Fresh air!
Think on my story i have neglected for three days! No time for that with a five month old!
It is better as a grandmother for I realise may have all the most hilarious times in the world
with her, and not abide by worries about naps and feeds.
noon- write! write! Back to it!
for the rest of the day!
tune my lyre tonight and put orange peels in my violin case so the wood behaves.
